Robert Burns Supper
Report by Url Ratz

The revered Scottish poet Robert (Rabbie) Burns (1759-1796) is honored every year on the anniversary of his birthday by people all over the world who participate in a ritual known as a "Robert Burns Supper." Known as "the Ploughman Poet," Rabbie was, and continues to be, a working-class hero. One of his best known songs is Auld Lang Syne.

Burns Suppers were started by his friends shortly after his death in 1796 and have been a part of Scottish culture and unchanged for over 200 years.

Now, thanks to Url's friends in Lexington and Frankfort, Kentucky, you can sit in on a real Burns Supper. Have an unco (uncommonly) merry time and don't get fou (drunk).
